Artifact 1 - Responsibilities of my Mission
As a strategic leader, it is important that I value ethical action within the school community. I created this document to display how I exhibit three of the twenty-one necessary responsibilities of an effective school leader in my mission statement. A mission statement is an important piece of becoming an effective administrator because it gives a quick snapshot of what that person stands for.
Artifact 1 - Responsibilities of my Mission

Artifact 2 - 2nd Order Change
As an strategic leader, I must support innovations within the educational community. I created this second-order change diagram to display how multiple responsibilities were addressed when implementing our Instructional Rounds initiative at DC West High School. This is a great tool to use in review of a change process. It is important to be able to address all targeted responsibilities while applying change in a school building.
Artifact 3 - Eight Dimensions of Leadership
As a strategic leader, I must utilize leadership processes to achieve common goals. I created this graphic organizer with quotes to quickly show the eight essential dimensions of leadership. As educational leaders, our job is to ensure that we are effectively delivering a quality education to all students. Effective education requires effective leadership.
